<description>Thanks so much for the post. The idea of adding this to the top of each include file works.

This from http://www.expression-web-designer-help.com/forum/printer_friendly_posts.asp?TID=532

Thanks Again!!

Yes,
EW is adding a BOM to all the PHP pages, So if you are pulling PHP include files, try adding this to the head of each include file:

This tricks EW into NOT adding the BOM, but doesn't affect the browser in any way. Since EW will see the content type (even though it is commented out), it will not add the BOM. Also remember to put a content type on your regular page, as well; such as:

As Jim says, you will also need to change the setting on your stylesheet.

Good luck to anyone else who noticed this problem!

<description>Hello.. I ran into this post because I was googling the keywords "Dell PowerEdge 2970 Microsoft SBS". I have trouble installing from SBS CD and only to discover that the OS is not supported (doh!), however the symptom was similar: the server spit the CD out.. so maybe it's not because it's not supported, but just because I don't know how to install it correctly from the OEM CD. Your suggestion will be very appreciated.</description>

<description>I just started a project where I need to scan a lot of B&#38;W pages into Word or Acrobat and we don't have any OCR software, but we do have Office 2007. By installing MicroSoft Office Document Imaging, I can scan and OCR directly into Word and also save as a PDF. It works very well.

Let me know if you want more info. I might try the above macro too.

Regards,
