Robin’s Bootcamp in Nashville

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

I’ve been in Nashville for just over 24 hours now. I arrived yesterday for Robin Robins’ Business Building Bootcamp.

We started out kind of slow. This morning I felt like I was having a nightmare that I couldn’t wake up from. It was like one endless stream of infomercials. Had I bought everything that people tried to sell me today I would have spent several thousand dollars. (more…)

Keeping it R.E.A.L.

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

I attended Robin Robin’s “recession proof your business” teleseminar yesterday. I went back and listened to the recording a second time because there were so many good ideas that my 3 pages of notes didn’t quite cover it.

I just now registered for the 3 day event.  I decided I couldn’t deal with the dissappointment if it sold out before I registered!

Here are a couple of definitions I heard on the teleseminar:

A TECH business is:
     Tedious
     Exhausting
     Chaotic (and)
     Hard

Whereas a REAL business is:
     Rewarding
     Easy
     Attractive (and)
     Lucrative

Ha!  I want to turn my TECH business into a REAL business, and that’s why I decided to register.  If you want to listen to the recorded teleseminar CLICK HERE, but please - if you decide to buy Robin’s Toolkit, either write “Technoid” as your referral source or use this link to buy.

I’ve just started testing Windows 7 on an AMD Athlon system with 4 gigs of RAM.  The video is a bit underpowered, but everything else seems fine.

Free Microsoft Exam

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

OK, so the product isn’t even out yet, but it’s free, so I decided to go ahead and sit for this exam. I don’t stand much chance of passing, but figured I’d give it a shot anyway. This is a 4 hour test on EBS2008 and there are no study materials available that I’m aware of. There wasn’t a study guide for the SBS exam when I first took it either and I somehow managed to pass that one.

If I have time tonight, I’ll download EBS and start playing. Are you feeling crazy enough to join me and take the free exam?

Here’s the link with instructions on how to get it for free….

It’s only through prometric and only for a limited time.  I signed up for the last time-slot on the last day of the exam.

Mouse & Driver Newsletter

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

The first issue of the Mouse & Driver Gazette will be in the mail next week.  I plan to send out a monthly newsletter to my clients and probably to prospects as well.  If you’re a client you should be seeing it in the mail (yes snail mail) by the end of next week.  I’m actually pretty excited about it.  This is coinciding with my official launch of the Ultimate Computer Protection Plan and my long overdue price increase.

Running for President?

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Update:  January 20, 2009.

During the election somebody made it possible to put your name in a “news” story about a relative unknown running for president.  Apparently, they’re no longer hosting it, but I decided not to delete this post in the interest of posterity.
